Once you’ve unboxed your SaluSpa® inflatable hot tub and before the fun can begin, read your manual thoroughly to review the safety information, which parts are included in your box, how to set up your hot tub and more.
Below are a few of the key safety points you need to follow when setting up and using your hot tub (Note: these reminders are not intended to replace your product’s manual):
Electrical Safety
The use of an extension cord or multi-plug adapter is strictly prohibited. Your 12 ft. hot tub cord must be plugged directly into a grounded socket to avoid overheating, which can lead to damage to your hot tub equipment and surrounding property.
Your hot tub must be used with a grounded socket corresponding to the electrical rating of the attachment plug (110-120 V AC, 60Hz, Single Phase 12A at 68oF). It is recommended to use a socket that is also resistant to humidity and capable of high-power loading. If you’re unsure about the quality of the electrical supply, consult a qualified electrician before use.
It’s important to regularly inspect the plug and socket for signs of damage. If signs of damage are found, do NOT plug your product back into the socket.
If your inflatable hot tub pump is still under warranty, please submit a claim on our website for a replacement pump if you see damage to your plug.
Installation Location
In addition to doing an electrical check of your portable hot tub, you also want to ensure it’s set up in the right location.
Make sure your hot tub is installed on a level surface that’s able to support the combined weight of the product when filled and all its users. The location must also have adequate drainage to avoid property damage and be within 12 ft. of a grounded, grounding-type receptacle.
While outdoor setup is preferred, please note there are special requirements to follow if you do set up your inflatable hot tub indoors.
Humidity is a natural side effect of hot tub use and could cause damage to your property and belongings without proper precaution. It is advised to determine the effects of moisture on exposed wood, structural materials, and surrounding objects in your proposed installation location.
To minimize these effects in an indoor environment, provide plenty of ventilation to the selected area. Please consult an expert to confirm the installation area is properly ventilated before use.
